Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all!
A couple quick notes:
GTO will be performing our 8th annual Christmas show on Christmas night, December 25th, at the Ranch Bowl in Omaha, NE. Support acts include Anchondo, Haven 21 and 5 Story Fall. ALL AGES. Doors at 7:30, show at 8:30.
After the Christmas show we will be taking a couple months off to finish recording and mixing our upcoming CD due out in March of '05. It will be a full-length disc titled "See No Evil" and is the second in our ongoing series of 3 image-related releases.
For those of you who have the first in this series, "Hear No Evil", which features the psychedelic grasshopper 'head' on the cover, the second in this series will feature the grasshopper 'body' and, naturally, in time, the final disc will feature the 'tail'. (Own all three and you'll have the entire picture when the CDs are put side by side! :-)
The upcoming release will contain at least 4 originals and as many as 8 cover songs ranging from the Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" to Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back" to Eddie Grant's "Electric Avenue". It's coming together great and we're looking forward to its release which will, no doubt, include another blow-out CD release party at Sokol Hall this coming Spring.

And lastly, a wish from us to you to please BE SAFE this holiday season. This comes as a particular note as this past Monday night, under icy road conditions, there was a horrible two-car accident directly in front of our house in which two 19-year-old twin brothers were severely injured... one is now in serious but stable condition and the other remains in critical condition. Without going into great detail, it was a very sad and traumatic scene and a sobering reminder of the brevity of life, the gratitude we must hold for the love in the life we are living, and the absolute need to simply be careful and look out for one another.
Our prayers are with the brothers and their family.
As always, thank you all for your continued support of Grasshopper Takeover and we wish you a healthy, happy and successful 2005.
