What's up all? Just wanted to give a quick shout out to everyone and let you know all is well in Camp GTO. The CD is coming along smoothly and we have only one more song to complete before heading into the mixdown/editing phase. There are going to be 16 songs on the CD plus two music vids (playable on your computer and DVD) from past recorded songs, "Esta Vida" and "Bonecrusher." We're really looking forward to getting the record out and proud of the material and believe you're going to dig the album. We're hoping for a Thanksgiving weekend CD release (don't hold our nuts in a vice for it), but if not Thanksgiving weekend then definitely Christmas time. The CD release will be at Sokol Hall and then shortly after that we'll be back out on the road to play for all of you outside of the Omaha/Lincoln area.

Some upcoming dates for GTO in Omaha and Lincoln are following:

  • Friday, August 16th at the Music Box with Poppleton. 18 and over.
  • Saturday, August 17th at the Howard St. 21 and over.
  • Friday, August 23rd at the University of Neb/Lincoln for the Big Red Welcome show to be held outdoors in front of the student union. ALL AGES.

A quick note regarding our website... the new design is done and pretty much ready to go but we're waiting to launch it until it gets closer to the release of the CD. There are all sorts of new pages and interactive features and when the launch does come, we'll have snippets of our new material for you to check out as well as an advance look at the cover and title and other goodies. Thanks for bearing with us on that.

We'll have new merchandise of all conceivable flavors by the time our UNL show rolls around on the 23rd of August. The 'line' features hand drawn, cartoon-style, all original sketches by a great artist and fan/friend, Jeff Deadlow. We'll be putting the designs and ordering information up on the website so you can sport your new GTO gear. You'll be able to choose from a myriad of T's, baby dolls, spaghetti straps, jerseys, hats, visors and more with all the available designs.

Other than what I've mentioned (it's early and i'm cloudy, so i'm sure i've left some stuff out), if you have any questions, would like to join our street team, are wondering about the length and girth of our primary organ, or just want to say 'hey', you can always email us and we'll get back to you. Hope all is well and thanks for your continued support.

Spread your wings and fly,
grubb / GTO
