Things are still rockin' out in sunny CA.

The weather's beautiful and we are very glad we don't have to endure another long and hard Nebraska winter. They are brutal!

There are a lot of exciting things happening in the near future for GTO. All is picking up by the week as new gigs arise and the "buzz" gets louder and louder. (This is the Year of the Locust and you are being beckoned......)We are currently updating our website and will soon have our own domain name at www.grasshoppertakeover.com It will have sound bites, video clips, and all sorts of new and kickin' features.

Here are also some other cool sites you can check out the word on GTO:On the "Broadcast.com" site, you should be able to hear sound clips of our CD, "Gaia," if you already have RealAudio. Also, in the next few weeks we will have online articles/interviews on tourdates.com , talkmusic.com and LA Music NetworkAll are very cool sites and well-worthy of a good browsin'.

We've got a lot of cool LA-area shows coming up in the next month or so. They are as follows:

  • This Saturday, October 24th at the Garage at 8pm
  • Tuesday, October 27th at Luna Park at 8pm
  • Thursday, October 29th at the Roxy at 11:30pm
  • Friday, October 30th at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach w/ World Tribe
  • Monday, November 2nd at the Dragonfly at 10:30pm
  • Wednesday, November 11th at Moguls in Hollywood at 10pm
  • Saturday, November 27th at Moguls at an undetermined timeWe are no longer playing Sokol Hall on the 18th of December.

For those of you living in Omaha and the surrounding areas, the following dates are definite and confirmed:

  • Saturday, December 19th at the landmark, Stockyards Ballroom with Clever, Deseo, (hopefully) DJ Kaos and more. This show is ALL AGES--!!!!!
  • Friday, December 25th (CHRISTMAS NIGHT) at the 18th Ammendment.Hope to see you ALL there!

On The Horizon...
Last, but certainly not least, we will be recording two new songs in the next couple weeks -- "Pick it up" and "Galaxy Girl." The songs will be the first two songs on a GTO LIVE CD that will be recorded at the Roxy on the 29th of October. It is tentatively scheduled for release on Friday, the 18th of December.
